Introduction
At Prazuchi, we stand behind the quality of our products. Every dog bed is crafted with premium materials and meticulous attention to construction. This Standard Warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of delivery.
Important: If you purchased a Chew-Resistant Dog Bed, please refer to our separate Chew-Resistant Warranty Policy for coverage specific to chewing damage of the inner mattress shell. That policy contains different terms, coverage periods, and remedies. This Standard Warranty covers manufacturing defects only - not chewing damage.
1. Warranty Coverage Period
1 Year from the date of delivery (as confirmed by shipping carrier)
The warranty period begins when your product is delivered, not when you place the order.
Example: If your order is delivered on March 15, 2026, your warranty coverage extends through March 14, 2027.
2. What This Warranty Covers
This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship that occur during normal residential use.
2.1 Covered Manufacturing Defects
Structural and Construction Defects:
- Seam separation from defective stitching (without external force, pulling, or stress from pet behavior)
- Stitching failures at stress points from workmanship defects
- Binding or piping separation from manufacturing defects (not wear or pet damage)
- Bolster wall collapse from structural failure (not normal compression from use)
Hardware and Closure Defects:
- Zipper track breaks or slider failures from manufacturing defects (not from forcing, snagging, or chewing)
- Zipper teeth separation from material defects (not from use or damage)
- Velcro or closure failures from material defects (not wear from repeated use)
Fabric and Material Defects:
- Fabric tears or holes from material flaws present at manufacture (not pet damage, washing damage, or wear)
- Premature fabric degradation beyond normal wear patterns (pilling, thinning, or deterioration from material defects)
- Color bleeding or dye transfer from manufacturing defects (not fading from washing or sun exposure)
- Waterproof barrier delamination in waterproof beds from manufacturing defects (not punctures, tears, or damage from use)
- Waterproof layer cracking or peeling from material defects (not from damage, improper care, or age)
Fill and Comfort Defects:
- Excessive fill settling in fiber-filled beds beyond 30% of original loft within the warranty period when proper care instructions have been followed
- Fill clumping that cannot be redistributed through normal fluffing and maintenance
- Fill migration through intact fabric due to weave defects (not through tears or damaged areas)
- Foam degradation in orthopedic beds beyond normal compression from use (crumbling, breaking apart, or severe deterioration)
Cover Shrinkage:
- Excessive shrinkage beyond normal tolerances when washed according to care instructions (shrinkage exceeding 5% in any dimension)
2.2 What Constitutes Normal vs. Defect
It is normal and NOT a defect for beds to:
- Compress gradually with regular use (up to 30% in fiber-filled beds within first year)
- Develop a "lived-in" appearance
- Show surface wear in high-contact areas where your dog lies
- Fade slightly with washing and sun exposure (minor color changes)
- Pill moderately on fabric surfaces from friction
- Conform to your dog's sleeping position and body shape
- Require occasional fluffing, shaking, or reshaping
- Soften or become more pliable with use
Signs of actual manufacturing defects:
- Complete seam failure along multiple seams within weeks or months of minimal use
- Zipper breaking from normal opening and closing (not forcing)
- Waterproof layer separating or peeling without any damage to the bed
- Fill clumping severely into hard lumps despite following care instructions
- Fabric developing holes or tears in areas with no pet contact
- Shrinkage exceeding 5% after first wash per instructions
- Foam crumbling or breaking apart (not just compressing)
When evaluating warranty claims, we distinguish between normal use patterns and actual manufacturing defects.
3. What This Warranty Does NOT Cover
The following are explicitly excluded from warranty coverage:
3.1 Pet-Related Damage
Any damage caused by pet behavior is NOT covered:
- Chewing, biting, tearing, or destruction by pets
- Scratching, clawing, or digging damage
- Punctures from claws or teeth
- Tears or holes from pet interaction
- Soiling, staining, or urine damage
- Biological contamination or odors absorbed into materials
- Any damage from normal or abnormal pet behavior
Note for Chew-Resistant Bed Owners: If you purchased a chew-resistant dog bed and your dog has chewed through the inner chew-resistant mattress shell, refer to our Chew-Resistant Warranty Policy for potential coverage during the first 90 days. Pet damage to standard beds is never covered.
3.2 Normal Wear and Tear
Expected changes from regular use are NOT defects:
- Gradual fading of colors over time from use and washing
- Pilling, matting, or surface texture changes from friction and regular use
- Fill compression up to 30% in fiber-filled beds (this is normal settling)
- Foam compression in orthopedic beds from weight and use (as long as foam remains intact)
- Minor stretching of fabric from pet weight and movement
- Softening, loosening, or relaxation of fabric from use and washing
- Surface wear patterns from regular contact with pet
- Development of "nesting" shape conforming to your dog's position
- General signs of use, age, and occupation
3.3 Improper Care and Maintenance
Damage from not following care instructions is NOT covered:
- Washing products incorrectly (ignoring care label instructions)
- Using hot water when cold/lukewarm is specified
- Using bleach, harsh chemicals, fabric softeners, or inappropriate cleaning products
- Machine washing products labeled "spot clean only"
- Tumble drying products labeled "air dry only"
- Using high heat when low heat or air dry is specified
- Excessive heat exposure (placing near radiators, heaters, in direct hot sunlight for extended periods)
- Failure to allow products to dry completely before use (leading to mold or mildew)
- Storage in damp, humid, or unsuitable conditions
- Not following recommended maintenance (fluffing, rotating, etc.)
3.4 Misuse and Accidents
Damage from improper use is NOT covered:
- Using products outdoors when not rated for outdoor use
- Using products for purposes other than intended (not as a pet bed)
- Exposure to extreme temperatures or environmental conditions beyond normal residential use
- Damage from accidents, falls, impacts, or rough handling
- Contact with sharp objects, rough surfaces, or abrasive materials
- Use with pets significantly exceeding recommended weight limits for product size
- Placing beds in inappropriate locations (wet areas, rough surfaces, etc.)
3.5 Modifications and Alterations
Any customer modifications void warranty completely:
- Attempting to sew, patch, or repair damage yourself
- Replacing zippers, closures, or other components
- Modifying dimensions, structure, or design
- Adding embellishments, customizations, or alterations
- Disassembling the bed structure
- Removing or replacing fill
- Any changes to original construction
If you notice a defect, contact us immediately - do not attempt repairs.
3.6 Unauthorized Purchases
Products NOT purchased directly from prazuchi.com are NOT covered:
- Products from Amazon, Flipkart, or other online marketplaces
- Products from pet stores or retail shops
- Products from third-party sellers or resellers
- Products from unauthorized distributors
- Products without proof of purchase from prazuchi.com
Only products purchased directly from our website at prazuchi.com are eligible for warranty coverage.
3.7 Commercial Use
Products used commercially are NOT covered:
- Kennels, boarding facilities, or breeding operations
- Veterinary clinics, animal hospitals, or medical facilities
- Pet daycare or training facilities
- Rescue shelters, foster organizations, or sanctuaries
- Any business providing pet services
- Multi-dog professional environments
- Any use beyond normal residential, personal use
Why: Commercial use creates accelerated wear from multiple dogs and intensive use patterns that exceed residential warranty assumptions.

3.8 Cosmetic Issues
Minor cosmetic issues that don't affect function are NOT covered:
- Slight color variations between batches or from product photos
- Minor irregularities in fabric texture or appearance
- Small stitching variations that don't affect structural integrity
- Slight dimensional variations within normal manufacturing tolerances
- Natural variations in materials (faux fur texture, fabric hand, etc.)
3.9 Issues After Warranty Period
Any issues arising after 1 year from delivery are NOT covered:
- The warranty period is firm
- No extensions or exceptions
- Based on delivery date, not purchase date or discovery of issue
3.10 Consequential or Incidental Damages
We are NOT liable for:
- Damage to floors, carpets, furniture, or other property
- Injury to pets or people
- Veterinary expenses or medical costs
- Cost of substitute products purchased elsewhere
- Shipping costs (except prepaid labels we provide for approved claims)
- Time, inconvenience, or lost productivity
- Emotional distress
- Any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages
Our maximum liability under this warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product.
4. Warranty Remedies
If your warranty claim is approved, we will provide one of the following remedies at our sole discretion:

- We may repair the defective product
- We provide prepaid shipping labels both ways
- Repair typically completed within 2-3 weeks including shipping
- Product returned to you in working condition
4.2 Replacement
- We may replace the product with the same model

- Damage from pet behavior (chewing, scratching, etc.)

6. Special Warranty Situations
6.1 Fill Compression in Fiber-Filled Beds
Normal Compression (NOT a defect):
Fiber-filled beds (bolster beds, pillow beds, fur collection) will compress up to 30% of original loft within the first year of use. This is normal and expected.
Example: A bed originally 6 inches thick may compress to approximately 4 inches with regular use.
Why this happens:
- Polyester fiber settles under your dog's weight
- Repeated compression compacts the fill
- This is inherent to fiber-filled products
This is NOT a defect and is NOT covered.
To minimize compression:
- Fluff and shake bed regularly (weekly recommended)
- Rotate bed periodically for even wear
- Follow washing and drying instructions exactly
- Allow bed to dry completely before use
Excessive Compression (MAY be a defect):
If your fiber-filled bed compresses MORE than 30% within the warranty period AND you've followed all care instructions, this may indicate a fill defect.
File a claim if:
- Compression exceeds 30% (measure original height vs. current)
- You've regularly fluffed and maintained the bed
- You've followed all washing instructions
- Compression is severe or uneven (suggests fill migration or clumping)
We will assess based on:

- Your care and maintenance history

- Normal use patterns for your dog's size/weight
6.2 Waterproof Beds - Special Considerations
The waterproof barrier is covered for manufacturing defects only.
Covered:
- Waterproof layer delaminating or separating without damage
- Seams leaking from poor construction
- Material cracking or degrading from defects
NOT Covered:
- Punctures or tears from claws, chewing, or sharp objects
- Leaking due to damage to the barrier
- Reduced effectiveness from improper care
- Normal wear reducing waterproof properties over time
To maintain waterproof function:
- Wipe waterproof layer with damp cloth between washes
- Don't use abrasive cleaners or scrubbers
- Ensure completely dry before reassembly
- Don't fold or compress for extended storage
6.3 Chew-Resistant Beds - Refer to Separate Policy
If you purchased a Chew-Resistant Dog Bed:
This Standard Warranty covers manufacturing defects in all components for 1 year.
For chewing damage to the inner chew-resistant mattress shell, refer to our separate Chew-Resistant Warranty Policy, which provides:
- 90-day enhanced coverage for chewing damage to inner mattress shell only
- One-time replacement of inner shell if penetrated by chewing
- Different terms, conditions, and remedy
Important: Chewing damage to the outer cover is NEVER covered under any warranty. Only the inner mattress shell has limited chew coverage per the Chew-Resistant Warranty Policy.
6.4 Gifts - Who Can File Claims
Warranty applies to original purchaser only.
If the product was a gift:
- The person who purchased it (gift giver) must file the warranty claim
- They are the customer of record in our system
- Replacement or repair can be shipped to you (the recipient)
- Gift giver must provide order number and proof of purchase
If you don't know who purchased it or cannot contact them, we cannot process a warranty claim without proof of purchase from prazuchi.com.
7. General Warranty Terms
7.1 Proof of Purchase Required
You must provide:
- Order number from prazuchi.com, OR
- Email order confirmation from prazuchi.com, OR
- Invoice/receipt showing purchase from prazuchi.com
Without proof of purchase from prazuchi.com, no warranty coverage is available.
7.2 Non-Transferable
- Warranty applies only to original purchaser
- Cannot be transferred if you give/sell the product to someone else
- Based on order records in our system
7.3 Inspection Rights
We reserve the right to:
- Inspect any product claimed as defective
- Require return of product before approving claim
- Request additional photos or information
- Determine whether issue is a defect or exclusion
- Choose the remedy (repair, replacement, refund)
- Update this policy (changes apply to future purchases only)
Warranty determinations are at our sole discretion.
7.4 Return Required for Most Claims

- Claiming defects for obvious pet damage
- Misrepresenting timeline or care history
- Creating multiple accounts for repeat claims
- Intentionally damaging products to claim warranty

8. Limitation of Liability
8.1 Maximum Liability
Our total liability for any warranty claim shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product.
We are not liable for amounts exceeding what you paid for the bed.
8.2 Exclusion of Consequential Damages

- Damage to floors, carpets, furniture, or other property
- Staining, scratching, or other secondary damage

Q: My dog chewed the bed. Is this covered?
A: No. Pet damage is never covered under the Standard Warranty. If you have a chew-resistant bed and your dog chewed through the inner mattress shell within 90 days, refer to our Chew-Resistant Warranty Policy for potential coverage.
Q: The bed faded after washing. Is this covered?
A: Minor fading from washing and use is normal and not covered. Severe color bleeding or dye transfer from manufacturing defects may be covered - contact us with photos and washing details.
Q: A seam came apart. Is this covered?
A: If the seam separated from defective stitching without stress or pulling, yes. If it separated from your dog digging, scratching, or putting stress on it, no. Submit photos and we'll assess.
Q: I bought the bed 11 months ago but just noticed an issue. Can I claim?
A: Yes, as long as you're within 1 year of delivery. However, we'll assess whether the issue is a manufacturing defect or just normal wear appearing over time.
Q: The zipper broke. Is this covered?
A: If it broke from normal use (opening/closing gently), yes. If it broke from forcing, snagging, or your dog chewing it, no. We'll need photos and information on how it broke.
Q: I washed it wrong and it shrunk. Is this covered?
A: No. Damage from not following care instructions is not covered. If it shrank excessively despite following care label exactly, contact us with details.
Q: Can I get a refund instead of replacement?
A: The remedy (repair, replacement, refund) is at our discretion. We'll choose the most appropriate option based on the situation. We consider your preference but cannot guarantee refunds.
Q: My dog is a puppy and had accidents on the bed. The waterproof layer leaked. Is this covered?
A: If the waterproof barrier is failing from a material defect (delamination, cracking), yes. If liquid leaked through damage (punctures from claws, tears), no. Submit photos and we'll assess.
Q: I bought the bed from Amazon. Is it covered?
A: No. Only products purchased directly from prazuchi.com are covered by this warranty. We cannot verify authenticity or condition of products from other sellers.
Q: How long does the warranty process take?
A: Typical timeline:
- Claim assessment: 3-5 business days
- If return required: 3-7 days shipping to us
- Inspection: 1-2 business days
- Remedy processing: 2-3 business days
- Shipping to you: 2-5 days

Q: Do I have to pay to ship it back?

10. Care Instructions - Maintaining Warranty Coverage
Following care instructions is REQUIRED to maintain warranty coverage.

- Use cold or lukewarm water (never hot)
- Use mild detergent only (no bleach, fabric softeners, harsh chemicals)
- Machine wash on gentle cycle or hand wash as specified
- Air dry flat OR shade dry as specified (never high heat)
- Ensure completely dry before use
- Fluff and rotate regularly
Product-Specific Care:
Bolster Beds:
- Fluff bolster walls weekly
- Rotate for even wear
Orthopedic Beds:
- Don't fold or compress foam
- Allow foam to expand fully after unpacking (24-48 hours)
Waterproof Beds:
- Wipe waterproof layer with damp cloth between washes
- Don't use abrasive cleaners on waterproof layer
Fur Collection:
- Brush faux fur occasionally to maintain pile
- Shake out before washing
